The National Bioethics Commission met upon invitation by the President thereof on April 2, May 7, June 19, July 7, September 28, December 17, 2004 and January 21, 2005 and organized expert hearings on October 22 and November 12, in order to consider the ethical and social issues within its jurisdiction with regard to clinical trials on human subjects.
