The Hellenic National Bioethics Committee has examined the issue of of donating organs from an "emotionally related donor", following a relevant document from the National Organization for Transplantation, which identified serious problems in applying the relevant provision of existing legislation regarding the adequacy of documenting the emotional relationship between a proposed donor and an interested recipient of an organ.
